My friends Enis and Steven called me the other day raving about a new app that they had gotten for their iPads and iPhones. They convinced me to get the game and now I wish that I hadn’t! The game is called “Hanging with Friends”. It is made by the same company (Zynga) that created the other addictive game called “Words with Friends” that has also been really popular. This one is like a hang man game. You can create a word for a friend and they have to solve it. It is really fun and pretty addictive. I found my two friends screen names and we have been playing against each other. When they get some time off at work, they send me a little word or two. I use my 4g internet Arcadia connection to play on my iPad when I am at home. I have tried to get my husband to start playing, but he is not really interested. I wish that he would start playing because it is so much fun!

I applied to five law schools after I graduated this spring. I only got into one school! I was shocked, but excited to get in somewhere. I had goofed off a lot when I was in undergrad. The school I got into is in Mississippi, about seven hours from where I am living now. My parents helped me a little and I decided to buy a house. The housing prices were good and I am definitely going to be there for at least three years. I am also thinking that I will be able to find a roommate in my class. My mom went to Jackson with me to help me do some work before school started. There was nothing structural to change, we just worked on the landscaping in the yard and did some decorating. She also helped me pick out some furniture for the house. I even made my own curtains. Before she left, she had me call Jackson ADT to get an alarm system put in. She cried when she left me with my first house. I guess I am a grown up now!

Nurses are not complete without their proper outfit: scrubs. When they wear their uniform, it makes them extra dignified. As if you can depend put your life in their hands because at least they are supposed to know first aid and CPR is part of it. Not that it is an equation. It is an expectation! Wearing the scrub tells the people around that you are capable. It gives you a certain ID.

Reaching A New Milestone

After few months of waiting, my dear friend found a job.  A job that she is hoping for-becoming a nurse.  She got hired yesterday.  And oh she was very happy.  I am happy for my friend too.  It was such a blessing.  Good things are smoothly but  sure coming on her way.  We celebrated the good news with a small lunch this afternoon.  The plan of us going home for a vacation will be rescheduled, for sure.

We were looking for scrubs and gladly we found a couple for her.  But those are only temporary because my friend will get custom scrubs in the near future.  You see, wearing nursing scrubs in the hospital is now recommended especially for those who work in the operating room.  I guess you can move comfortable in it.  I know it is difficult looking for custom scrubs but at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs/, there is nothing to worry about it.  Nurses can choose from wide selection.
